Our apps are built to be private by default. What you create stays on your device. We run no servers that collect or store your personal data, we use no analytics, and we do not track you.

Who we are

Sirek Apps ("we", "us") is a software studio based in Gdańsk, Poland, and is the data controller for the limited processing described here. You can reach us at support@sirekapps.com.

This policy covers all iOS apps we publish, including PRO.TEIN.

What we collect

We do not require an account, and we do not collect personal information on our own servers — we don't operate any. The data you create in an app is stored locally on your device by iOS. Depending on the app, this can include:

The content you enter — for example, in PRO.TEIN, the foods and protein amounts you log and their dates.
Goals and personal figures you choose to provide, such as a body weight.
Your in-app preferences, like reminders and appearance settings.

This information stays on your device and, if you use iCloud, in your own private iCloud account. It is otherwise shared only through the optional services described below, each of which you control.

iCloud sync

If you're signed in to iCloud, an app may sync your data across your devices using Apple's iCloud (CloudKit), stored in your private iCloud account. This data is governed by Apple's privacy policy. We have no access to it and cannot read it. You can turn syncing off per app in iOS Settings → [your name] → iCloud.

Apple Health

Where an app offers Apple Health integration, it is always opt-in. In PRO.TEIN, the app can read your most recent body weight to help set your protein goal, and write the protein you log to Apple Health.

This data is exchanged directly between the app and Apple Health on your device. We never receive it. You can review or revoke access at any time in the iOS Health app under Sharing → Apps.

Barcode lookups

When you scan or enter a barcode in PRO.TEIN, the app sends that barcode to Open Food Facts, a third-party open food database, to retrieve product details. Only the barcode is sent — no personal information. Their handling of that request is governed by their own privacy policy.

Subscriptions & purchases

Subscriptions and purchases are sold through Apple's In-App Purchase. Payments and billing are handled entirely by Apple — we never see your card details.

We use RevenueCat to manage and verify subscription status. RevenueCat processes a device-level purchase identifier on our behalf so the app knows whether your subscription is active. It does not receive your name or contact details. This is the only third-party service that processes data on our behalf.

Notifications

If you enable reminders, notifications are scheduled locally on your device. We do not send push notifications from a server and do not collect a device push token.

Analytics & tracking

Our apps contain no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking. We do not track you across other apps or websites, and we do not use the Advertising Identifier (IDFA). This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics either.

Sharing your data

We do not sell or share your personal data, and we never will. The only data that leaves your device is described above — barcode lookups, and purchase verification via Apple and RevenueCat — each in service of a feature you choose to use.

Keeping & deleting your data

You are in control. You can remove content within each app, and deleting an app removes its on-device data. If iCloud sync is on, you can also remove an app's iCloud data in iOS Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage. Samples written to Apple Health are managed in the Health app and are not removed by deleting our app.

Your rights

If you are in the European Economic Area, the GDPR gives you rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal data, and to object to its processing. Because your data is held on your own device rather than by us, you can exercise most of these directly in the app and in iOS settings.

For anything else, contact support@sirekapps.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority — in Poland, the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO).

Children

Our apps are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our apps evolve. We'll revise the "last updated" date above, and significant changes will be reflected here.
